Stockholm-On-Shore-Excursion
We meet at the Stockholm harbor, Frihamnen 638 during the cruise ship docking.
-We drive in a private minivan to downtown Stockholm to enjoy a panoramic view of the city, Djurgarden island, the Royal Theatre,
-Visit the City Hall, a landmark famous all over Sweden as the venue for the annual Nobel Awards Banquet in the Blue Hall,
-From there, we move to Gamla Stan, the Old Town for a walk through the narrow, cobbled streets of the medieval town and hear stories about the people behind picturesque buildings800 years ago.
-We stop by the Royal Palace, the 17th-century castle in Renaissance style,
-Visit the coronation Cathedral dating back to the 13th century,
-Then we move to the Great Square, site of Stockholm Bloodbath in 1520,
-Stop by the Nobel museum and Swedish Academy of Science in the old Exchange building,
-After a coffee break in Gamla Stan, we board the ferry to Djurgarden island, the lush green city park to visit the Vasa museum, the warship from the 17th century which sank on its maiden day and salvaged from the bottom of the sea after 333 years!
At 4 PM, we end the tour and drive back to the harbor.
