Must-See-In-Stockholm

The Royal Palace:

The centrepiece of Gamla Stan (the Old Town), the imposing Kungliga Slottet is the world’s largest royal palace that's still used for its original purpose. It might not outwardly resemble most people's idea of a fairytale castle, but the no-nonsense building houses some beautiful examples of Swedish baroque and rococo interiors.

The  Vasamuseet:

Study Swedish history by way of a doomed battleship at the excellent Vasamuseet

This wildly popular museum was purpose-built to tell the story of the short maiden voyage and long restoration of the massive warship Vasa, which sank to the bottom of the sea within minutes of setting sail.

Skansen Open-Air  Museum:

Often called 'Sweden in miniature', Skansen is an unmissable Stockholm highlight. Expect to spend a full day wandering this

hilltop open-air museum, with stops at traditional workshops such as the glassblowers' hut and the rustic bakery,.

The  City Hall, Stadhuset:

Stockholm's imposing City Hall building defines the city's skyline, with its blocky silhouette topped with Sweden's trademark triple crown, attractively positioned on a photo friendly waterside terrace. Inside you'll find the glittering Golden Hall, frescoes by Prins Eugen and the inspiring Nobel Prize banquet room. Climb the tower for a brilliant view across most of the city and surroundings
